Evening remains dry, with storms expected overnight and on Monday

Good evening, Heartland! Tonight, we can expect dry conditions for the most part. However, as we approach the overnight hours, rain will gradually make its way into southeast Missouri, giving rise to the formation of thunderstorms.

During the early morning, we can anticipate a good amount of thunder and strong winds coming from the south. This line of storms will then progress southwards throughout the late morning and into the afternoon. Although the likelihood of severe weather is minimal, it’s not entirely ruled out, as there remains a slight possibility of encountering strong winds and small hail.

As we transition into the evening, these storms will move away from the region, leaving behind clearer skies. For Monday, we can expect overnight temperatures to range from the low to mid 50s, while daytime highs will be in the mid to low 60s.

Tuesday will remain dry throughout the day, but we can expect rain to move in overnight, with showers continuing into Wednesday morning.

As the week progresses, temperatures will gradually drop, reaching the low 50s on Wednesday, mid-40s on Thursday, and upper 30s as we approach the weekend. During the weekend, lows are expected to dip into the mid to low 20s.
