DOT looking for input on Winnebago County bridge project

FOREST CITY — The Iowa Department of Transportation is seeking input on a proposed bridge replacement project in Winnebago County.

The DOT is looking to replace the bridge over Drainage Ditch 54 on State Highway 9 just east of County Road R-74 in the southeastern portion of the county. The project includes replacing the existing 80 foot-by-30 foot deck girder bridge with a single 12 foot-by-12 foot-by-139 foot reinforced concrete box culvert.

Through traffic on State Highway 9 would be maintained at all times, but at times traffic would be reduced down to one lane with the use of flaggers.
