DJs requested to perform at polling locations in key states by organization

A non-profit and non-partisan organization based in Philadelphia is currently seeking DJs to play at polling locations in battleground states, including North Carolina.

As part of an effort to drum up excitement for election day, DJs have been given the opportunity to earn some extra cash.

On November 5th, DJ D.Nyce will be using his musical talents for a meaningful cause. Although he typically performs at weddings and music festivals, he’s taking on a new gig – partying with a purpose. This isn’t the first time DJ D.Nyce has used his skills for good, as he previously played at a polling place in Charlotte during the Super Tuesday election in March.

“DJ D.Nyce stated that he provided a diverse range of music, and everyone was enjoying themselves on the dance floor.”

The Polls organization has come up with a unique way of encouraging people to vote during elections. They have recruited thousands of DJs from all over the country to play at polling stations, providing entertainment to voters while they wait in line. This initiative aims to increase voter turnout by making the process of voting more enjoyable and engaging.

According to DJ D.Nyce, some people expressed that they weren’t ready to leave as it felt like a party. He shared that the experience was enjoyable and helped to alleviate the boredom of waiting in line.

According to the data collected during the previous presidential election, the lowest turnout was recorded in the 18-25 age group of voters in Mecklenburg County. Only 72% of voters in this age group participated in the election.

In 2008, Anton Moore established DJs at the Polls in Philadelphia with the aim of providing people with an opportunity to dance while carrying out their civic duty.

According to Moore, it is crucial that we make our voices heard at the polls as there are significant matters at stake, ranging from abortion rights and gun violence to affordable housing and retirement programs.

DJs in 11 battleground states, including North Carolina, are being paid to connect with voters through music.

According to Moore, DJs will have two shifts, one in the morning from 7 to 11 and another in the afternoon from 3 to 7. The payment for each shift is set at $500. He further added that DJs can earn up to $1,000 a day, as they will be working for both shifts. In addition to this, the company will also provide a generator to each DJ.

According to organizers, voting is not just about choosing a political party. It’s a way to exercise your right to vote while having a little fun. So whether you’re voting red, blue, or even purple, you can do it with a rhythm.

According to DJ D.Nyce, the objective is not to influence anyone’s vote but to create a pleasant environment for people waiting in line.
