Consistent temperatures and overnight fog expected this week

Good morning, Pine Belt!

Expect a mild night ahead with mostly cloudy skies, accompanied by a low temperature of 56 degrees. However, it’s worth noting that certain areas of the Pine Belt might experience slightly different weather conditions, although there is no certainty in this regard.

If the conditions are favorable, there is a possibility of fog developing overnight. The amount of fog that forms will depend on various factors, including the level of wind calmness.

After any fog dissipates, our work week will begin with mostly cloudy skies in the morning, gradually clearing up later in the day. We can expect a slight decrease in cloud cover by the afternoon and evening. Just like today, there is a chance of a few isolated showers on Monday afternoon, while the temperature will reach a high of 74 degrees.

On Monday night, a line of showers will gradually weaken and dissipate on the northern edges of the Pine Belt. There is a small chance of rain, with the highest potential along and north of the US-84 corridor.

Temperatures will be extremely close to tonight’s low of 56 before sunrise on Tuesday morning. However, once the sun rises, Tuesday is expected to be the warmest day of the week.

Wednesday could see some scattered showers, although the chances are not very high. The temperature during the afternoon is expected to reach around 74 degrees.

Wednesday night into Thursday will see a slight drop in overnight temperatures compared to previous nights, with lows expected to be around 45 degrees.

Thursday is expected to have less cloud cover, resulting in mostly sunny skies. The temperature will reach a high of around 62 degrees. As for Thursday night, it will be cooler compared to the previous night, with lows reaching around 39 degrees.

Friday is expected to have similar weather conditions as Thursday, with plenty of sunshine and temperatures in the low 60s. However, Friday night will bring a further drop in temperatures, with overnight lows possibly reaching the low to mid 30s.

The weekend forecast is looking promising, with mostly sunny skies expected. Temperatures will be in the mid-50s during the day, while the nights will be chilly, with lows hovering around freezing.
