Clear Lake Chamber, Visit Mason City win Midwest travel awards

CLEAR LAKE — A pair of north-central Iowa destinations have taken top honors at the Midwest Travel Network 2019 Conference recently held in North Dakota.

The Top Midwest Destination Partner award was given to Libbey Hohn, the Clear Lake Area Chamber of Commerce’s Tourism Director. Mason City was chosen as the Midwest Travel Network Destination of the Year, with Visit Mason City content coordinator Tessa Bratrud accepting the award.

Hohn says working with travel writers given them the opportunity to reach new people and tell our story through a visitor’s actual experience, frequently partnering with Visit Mason City to work with writers.
