Christmas Morning Fire Destroys Garage in Winfield, No Injuries Reported

Multiple fire departments responded to a detached garage fire early Christmas morning in Winfield, Kansas.

The fire broke out around 12:30 a.m. at 805 E. 14th Street, according to Winfield Fire/EMS. When crews arrived, the garage was fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters worked quickly to prevent the blaze from spreading to nearby homes.

No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Units from Arkansas City Fire/EMS and the Udall Fire Department assisted in extinguishing the fire.
