Booneville Residence Investigated for Manufacturing Drugs

On July 2nd, 2024, at around 7:00 PM, the North Mississippi Narcotics Unit and the Prentiss County Sheriff’s Department carried out a joint operation. They executed a search warrant on a residence located on Martin Luther King Drive in Booneville. The Prentiss County Sheriff’s Department reported that the raid was aimed at suspected illegal drug operations.

During the raid, law enforcement officials apprehended Kyson Jerod Jackson, a 30-year-old Booneville resident, on charges of Manufacturing a Controlled Substance Enhanced with Firearms. Along with Jackson’s arrest, various items related to drug production, including a pill press and multiple firearms, were taken into custody by authorities.

After Jackson’s arrest, Judge Craig Bishop granted him a bond of $25,000.00.

North Mississippi Narcotics Unit’s Agent Taylor Walker will present the case to a Prentiss County Grand Jury for further legal proceedings.

The investigation into the incident is still ongoing by the North Mississippi Narcotics Unit and the Prentiss County Sheriff’s Department.
