Boil order lifted in Forest City

FOREST CITY — A boil order for the community of Forest City has been lifted. City officials say that two tests on the city’s water supply have come back with good results.

The boil order was put in place on Friday when there was a loss of pressure to the city’s water system. They say if you have not been using your water in the past few days, you should let the water run through the faucets about 10 minutes and flush your toilets about five times.

City and county emergency management officials say during the time of the boil order, 1920 cases of drinking water were distributed to residents, equating to over six million gallons.
