A group of students attacked three juveniles on a Metro platform earlier this month.
The victims’ enormous aunt, Tawanna Jones Chapman, said the incident began as a disagreement between her niece and another girl and escalated at the Benning Road station on November 15.
“A young lady who was arrested somehow orchestrated 30 students at one location at one time, and they attacked my two nieces and my nephew,” Jones Chapman informed me.
During the incident, one of Jones Chapman’s nieces ended up on the tracks. They helped her back up, and she is now okay.
The video captures her nieces and nephew relatively unharmed during the brawl.
“They all grouped together and effectively shielded each other from sustaining any significant injuries,” says Jones Chapman. “So, thank God for that.”
At one point in the video, Metro-hired special police officers intervened, although this did not appear to deter the situation.
