A man, aged 36, was tragically killed in a pointless altercation over a cellphone on a Bronx street on Christmas Eve, as confirmed by officials and surveillance footage.

A shocking incident took place at the Kleen Panda Laundromat near East Tremont Avenue and Morris Avenue in Mount Hope. According to the video obtained by The Post, Arkmayer Davis, 30, lost his life after getting into an argument with his attacker over a cell phone. The incident occurred at around 11:43 a.m., leaving everyone in disbelief.

The suspected attacker repeatedly shouts at Davis, demanding, “Give me my phone, bro! Give me my phone.”

Wearing a dark jacket and hoodie, Davis casually tosses the phone onto a nearby table, only for the man to quickly snatch it away.

The suspect, filled with anger, screams at Davis, “Get away from me! Shut the f–k up, bro! I don’t want to be around you anymore,” before storming out.

The medics quickly transported him to Saint Barnabas Hospital, but unfortunately, they were unable to save him.

Davis resided just a few steps away from the very spot where his life was tragically taken.

The person responsible for the assault has not been apprehended yet.

The 46th Precinct, which includes Mount Hope and University Heights, has seen a staggering 92.3% increase in murder cases. As per the police data, there have been 25 homicides reported through December 15, compared to 13 during the same period in 2023.
