In early July, Tyrone Jones was fatally shot, and as a result, Maverick Miller, 33, and Jujuan Hunter, 31, both residents of Oxon Hill and Clinton respectively, are facing multiple murder charges in connection to the incident.
Police responded to a call at the 800 block of Southern Avenue in Oxon Hill on Saturday, July 6 at around 10 a.m. Upon arrival, they discovered Jones in a parking lot, wounded by gunshots.
After receiving medical attention, he was transported to a local hospital, but unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries.
According to investigators, Jones was shot as a result of a long-standing conflict and it has been revealed that Miller and Hunter, who have been charged with first-degree and second-degree murder along with other related offenses, were known to Jones.
The Department of Corrections is currently holding both men without bond as they continue their investigation into the murder of Jones.
