The New York City Police Department is currently seeking to identify an individual who is suspected of inappropriately touching a teenage boy in the Bronx approximately six weeks ago.

On Monday, Aug. 26, around 2 p.m., a man approached a 15-year-old boy near the intersection of Southern Boulevard and Jennings Street. Shockingly, the suspect proceeded to sexually assault the boy before quickly fleeing on foot. The perpetrator was last seen heading southbound along Southern Boulevard. Thankfully, no injuries were reported following the incident.

The suspect is a male with a heavy build and a dark complexion. He was wearing a black T-shirt, khaki shorts, and multi-colored sneakers at the time of the incident.

The suspect captured on a nearby surveillance camera has been identified in an image released by the NYPD.

If you have any information about the suspect’s identity or whereabouts, please reach out to the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). Spanish speakers can call 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). You can also submit tips online through the Crime Stoppers website or via X (formerly Twitter) @NYPDTips.
