Yesterday afternoon, a one-vehicle accident in Benton County caused injuries to a man from Kansas.
The accident happened shortly before 3 PM on Route H, east of Cate Lane.
As per the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 62-year-old man from Towanda, Kansas was driving a car that failed to navigate a left-hand turn and veered off the right side of the road.
The car collided with a utility pole and a fence before flipping over and finally coming to a stop in a field.
The man sustained severe injuries and was transported by helicopter to the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.
