A Canton man was taken into custody after reportedly shooting his wife.
According to the Madison County Journal, Billy Odell Bland, aged 45, has been charged with attempted murder and felony carrying a concealed weapon.
On Friday, November 15, Canton police were called to a residence on Martin Luther King Drive to address a domestic dispute. When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered that Bland and his wife had already left.
Bland remains in custody at the Madison County Detention Center, with a bond set at $1,010,000.
