A Two-vehicle Crash On 120th Avenue North Of Denver Injured Six People

South Adams Fire Rescue urged drivers to avoid the 120th Avenue and Potomac intersection on Thanksgiving afternoon and evening after a two-vehicle incident injured six persons. The collision prompted law officials to block the road during the investigation and cleanup.

Several first responders were on the site of the Jeep and Ford Escape incident. Investigators from the Colorado State Patrol confirmed to CBS News Colorado that the Jeep was traveling on Potomac and had disregarded a traffic control device when it entered the intersection. At that moment, the front end of the Jeep collided with the side of the Ford.

We ejected the driver and passenger from the Jeep and transported them to the hospital, where they may have suffered critical injuries. The hospital received the driver, passenger, and two children from the Ford, all of whom suffered unspecified injuries.

We closed 120th Avenue in both directions during the crash investigation and cleanup.

Additional Information from the Colorado State Patrol:

The Colorado State Patrol Vehicular Crimes Unit is looking into the collision. If you observed the crash or have information and have not spoken with investigators, please contact Colorado State Patrol Dispatch at 303-239-4501.
