Man Detained In Prentiss County For Failing To Register As Sex Offender

A man from Pensacola, Florida, was arrested in Prentiss County after failing to register as a sex offender.

According to a news release from the Prentiss County Sheriff’s Office, on Tuesday, November 26th, 2024, Prentiss County Deputy Kolby Knight apprehended Robert Carlos Carter, age 45.

Carter was residing in a tent on Highway 145 North at the time of his arrest.

He was accused of failing to register as a sexual offender.

Justice Court Judge Ray Hall ordered Carter’s bond at $5,000. Investigator Torie Jumper will present the case to the upcoming Prentiss County Grand Jury.
