CLEAR LAKE — 2nd-ranked Clear Lake hosts 9th-ranked Williamsburg in a Class 2A quarterfinal round contest tonight at Lions Field. Lions coach Jared DeVries says the defense has continued to improve week after week.

DeVries says his team knows they’ll have to contain senior Kaden Wetjen (WEE-juhn) as best as they can. The senior is fifth in Class 2A in total yards with 1393.

Williamsburg coach Curt Ritchie says Clear Lake may be the quickest team his squad has faced all season.

You can hear the Clear Lake-Williamsburg 2A quarterfinal round game on AM-1490 & 96.7-FM KRIB and kribam.com starting with the pre-game at 6:15, with kickoff from Lions Field scheduled for 7 o’clock.
