33-Year-Old Man Victimized in Early Morning Robbery in Carondelet
A 33-year-old man was the victim of a violent robbery early this morning while riding his bicycle in Carondelet.
According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the incident occurred at around 1:00 a.m. in the 800 block of Koeln. A black sedan intercepted the cyclist, and one of three individuals exited the vehicle, brandishing a firearm and demanding money.
The victim initially told the suspects that he had no money. However, he was forcibly assaulted with the gun, prompting him to hand over cash to the assailant.
After the robbery, the suspects quickly fled the scene in the same black sedan. The victim declined medical attention following the incident, police reported.
Authorities are actively investigating the case and are seeking additional information and leads.
