Mason City man arrested on federal, state warrants

MASON CITY — A Mason City man is in custody after the execution of federal and state warrants on Tuesday.

The Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Department says their deputies and investigators executed the search warrants at 211 North Jefferson, where 56-year-old Jeffrey Determan was taken into custody on an outstanding federal arrest warrant for a supervised release violation by the US Marshals.

The sheriff’s department says during the search, they located a large amount of methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. They say the case is still under investigation.
